You can use TestWiz to scan and score tests locally. We support benchmark tests and standardized, norm-referenced tests.

Hardware Requirements

• PC with Windows XP or higher
• Scanner

        - Pearson OpScan or Insight

        - Dual sided readhead (if wanting to scan both sides of a document)

        - Bar code attachment (to read bar code labels with student ID’s)

        - Can be purchased directly through Pearson or from dataMetrics

Overview

• Create a test specification, which can include:

            - Answer keys

            - Lookup tables

            - Item links to learning standards

            - Item descriptions

• Import an ASCII file with students’ ID numbers and teachers
• Print bar code labels and affix to answer documents (optional)
• Scan the answer documents (documents must be OMR compatible)
• Print reports
• Upload to TestWiz.Net to share (optional)

More Details

• There is no limit to the number of tests you process.
• Multiple Choice and Open Response items are supported.
• You will be able to run pre/post reports and multi-year reports.
• If you are planning to scan a norm-referenced test locally, you need permission from the test publisher.
• If you don’t have a scanner, dataMetrics can provide fee-based scanning services. Turn-around time would be less than two weeks.
