The National Center on Response to Intervention has outlined 4 key components to RTI. They include:
- A school-wide, multi-level instructional and behavioral system for preventing school failure;
- Screening;
- Progress Monitoring; and
- Data-based decision making for instruction, movement within the multi-level system, and disability identification (in accordance with state law).
This framework provides guidance for identifying students with learning disabilities by outlining a plan to implement this process in schools throughout the U.S.
¤They have also recorded a webinar for state education agencies for further understanding RTI. See the video:

TestWiz completely supports RTI. Through the use of our assessment processing, scoring and reporting tool, users can track multiple interventions concurrently, identify students for interventions and assess progress over time. Examples include:
*
Students from intervention “A” can be compared with intervention “B”, or “C”, etc. all on the same report.Because testing is very expensive and time consuming, educators want to know which are more successful than others.*
Storing all of your interventions in one place.With multiple interventions going on within districts and classrooms, it’s very difficult to keep track of all of this information in one place and go back and query it later.*
Sorting and filtering interventions.Teachers and administrators alike can search interventions by demographics, cut scores, customized sub-groups, content areas, and others.*
Tracking interventions longitudinally.Not only can the success of interventions be monitored from year to year, but student performance within each can be compared against performance of other assessments such as state tests, DIBELS, local benchmark assessments and many others. *
Identifying instructional groups based on a complete student profile.By pulling all assessment data together in one place, educators can most accurately make decisions on a student. Oftentimes, test results are scattered all over the place and it’s very difficult to make efficient use of that data. Users can sort through students with special needs, and filter by intervention, cut score or other customized association. *
Viewing multiple assessment results all on one report.TestWiz enables users to monitor a student’s progress by displaying multiple test results alongside one another, even on the same report. They can even see a graph of student improvement as well.*
Accessing test results immediately.Through plain paper scanning or key entering of scores, assessment results can immediately be available to target instruction even for the next class! For more information on using TestWiz to track RTI:
